Archipelago National Park has been awarded the PAN Parks international brand Press Release 11.12.2007.
Archipelago National Park received in Turku the estimated PAN Parks mark as a sign to the National Park is one of Europe's finest and most well-managed national parks. The National did a careful evaluation of nature protection and sustainable tourism. Archipelago National Park is the first marine national park in the PAN Parks network, founded by the WWF. Oulanka National Park in Kuusamo was awarded the mark in 2002 |

Nauvo - situated in Länsi-Turunmaa 1).
The historical sights in Nagu-Nauvo are the grey stone church from the middle ages and the Gyttja district museum. The island of Själö is also worth -visiting. Today the Archipelago Research Institute operates from here.
The picturesque wooden church reminds us of the time when the island was a place where lepers used to be banished. Your visit will be enriched by a sales exhibition by a large number of handicraft artists and much more.
On Nagu you can take part in fishing and canoe trips, archipelago safaris, and much more adventures offered by the lokal entrepreneurs.
For boat people the guest harbour on Gullkrona and several natural harbours offer a fine holiday setting.
